I have a set of your M Series 1.25 UC Sole wedges, both the 56/8 and 60/4, similar to your current Glider wedges. I’ve read where the wider width of the sole of these wedges adds to the “effective” bounce of the clubs. Can you tell me what the “effective bounce” of each of these wedges is?? I do not have a specific “effective bounce” number, but it can be calculated. It’s actually not a bounce in degrees like the measured bounce is. Ralph describes how to calculate the “effective bounce” on pages 26-32 in the Golf Club Fitting and performance book. Basically you are calculating an area created by the point at which the sole actually touches the ground along the ground line and up to the leading edge. The greater this area, the greater the effective bounce and the more playable the wedge is. The 1.25 UC soles would be considered to have a high playability. I apologize for not having a specific number, but it would be a number something like .250 sq. inches, so it probably wouldn’t mean anything to you without seeing the illustrations and explanation in the book. If you don’t have the book, I would highly recommend it as a reference.
