I think he is leaving toward the TE… My question with the TE is have you guys made minor improvements over there years to it.. and do you feel the TE is softer than the ptm… I’m not stuck between these two got my dad.. look wise in think the ptm is closer to the i3 but I could be wrong… In know the TE has been out since 2010 so I’m just curious if you made minor adjustments and improvements since then.. and also it seems the dbm don’t ding up nearly as bad as the chrome…. My mmb 17 dbm still look perfect.. so help me out get the best clubs for my dad for his birthday august 30th and that is my birthday to haha.. Dad and I have a special bond cause of this
The TE has not changed and is still one of our best selling designs. The only aspect of the TE that some might say is not up to date are the lofts. They are more traditional lofts for the club numbers (traditional being what they were 5-10 years ago). Obviously it’s just a number on the head the new models 6 irons lofts used to be 5 iron lofts, etc. Many still prefer the more traditional designations. The PTM does have more “modern” loft designations for the club numbers. The DBM’s are 1 degree stronger than the TE, and being that they are manufactured from the same tool, they are simply bent 1 degree stronger. That is all That can be done without negatively effecting the sole angles and without having to re-tool the design. We don’t feel, with all the options we have, that needs to be done. Again, many still like the more tradtional loft designations. Honestly, I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the choices. If you want more modern lofts so that he will hit his 6 iron farther (for example), go with the PTM’s.
