One other thought on this, Woody. The F1 and F2 were actually 2 designs with much lower MPF numbers, only in the Game Improvement category. Nearly all other Maltby designs are Super or Ultra Game Improvement. In that sense, making any change to any of the newer heads should be a big help for your ball-striking.
It appears that the MMB-17 has the closest specs to the F2 – same lofts, same offsets. The sole widths and cog location are slightly different. If those factors are more important, then actually the non-Forged Tour+ has more similar numbers there.
