I just bought a Proforce V2 Black S flex 65g that should be here tomorrow. SS is 110 avg but very smoothe transition and mid to late-ish release. I currently play the Elements Chrome 6f4 tipped to a S+ (freq test) no disbursement issues and love the feel. I know it’s a different bend profile but the idea is to get the spin and trajectory down a tad without sacrificing the feel. What would the cutting recommendation be to get the V2 to play to a similar flex? Would tip trimming be recommended against given the already stiffer tip profile?
No way of knowing how trimming will effect the spin and trajectory exactly, but in theory if you trimmed a little from the tip it would play stiffer and that generally will reduce spin and lower trajectory. In comparing the Elements Chrome 65g TS flex and the V2 65 S flex, the profiles are almost identical. No more than 4 cycles variance in any zone we measure. So that tells me you would not need to tip the V2 any for it to play like the actual Elements Chrome TS. That being said, since you had the Elements Chrome S and tipped it, it probably is a little stiffer than the actual TS flex. The tip stiffness of the Elements Chrome S and TS are very similar. So, again in theory, you could tip trim the V2 S flex the same as you did the Chrome S flex and possibly get similar results.
