swingdome, here is Jim’s answer to me on reshafting Callaway irons. Ralph
Ralph,
I remember talking with Paul Hughes who use to work the True Temper Van on the Senior Tour back when these Callaway’s first came out and I remember him telling me that he basically always drilled them out when reshafting for the Senior Tour Players. I have talked with clubmaker’s who have done this and their feedback is that they play fine.
I saw these video’s on another forum a few weeks ago. They have a bunch of assembly steps in assembling these irons.

swingdome, I sent your question over to our head school instructor at the GolfWorks for the best answer to this one. As soon as he answers me, I will post it here.

Is there any playability difference in Callaway irons when the stock shafts are replaced via drilling out the hosel to eliminate the wedge fit vs. repalcing them w/ the Callaway cut shaft tip and wedge fit? I’d like to replace the stock shafts, but w/o the hassle of making those cuts in the shaft tip. Your thoughts?
