I’m hoping to re-use a driver shaft that was pulled from a Callaway driver.

The issue is … that the Callaway adapter was significantly longer than that of the new adapter – leaving about 1/4 inch of shaft prep exposed.  Kind of an eye sore.

Is there a good/clean professional-looking way of covering this up?  I don’t want to tip trim it any further and make it stiffer (already an “X”).  The only idea I have come up with so far is to cover it with some black shrink wrap tubing (black ferrule & matte black shaft might blend better?).

Other methods?

Heat Shrink is the way to go..I’ve used it for several years and it gives a nice finished look. It also comes in a variety of colors these days.
