Why is it that Maltby has not evolved with respect to wedge lofts? 52/56/60 is not in line with specs for modern irons. Most modern iron sets have a pitching wedges at 43-46 degrees…the 52/56/60 configuration just seems to be out of touch with the modern masses. I understand wedges can be strengthened for loft, but that affects the bounce configuration. I think Maltby produces as good a quality iron/wedge as anyone, but the wedges are not competitive with modern-day configurations at 52/56/60. There has been no evolution on Maltby wedge lofts/bounce configurations forever…
