Looking at the new mallet design it reminds me of the Cleveland Frontline series. I tried the Elvado last year and was impressed with its performance but not its feel. The listed MOI for the PTM5 head seems rather low for a mallet, does that indicate more weight is forward like the Frontline series?
The MOI is a little lower and that is due to the overall size (it is a little shorter toe to heel than other mallets we have done) and the weight is a little more forward. Designed to be a “players’ mallet, meaning it is for players that are better putters or have a reasonably decent and consistent stroke. Extremely well balanced and feels great. I think any player would like it, but if you really struggle and hit putts all over the face, you might want to go with a design with a higher MOI, like we have in the X Series.
