how much does shaft length affect swing weight for irons by 1/2″ increments
On the head end of the club, 2 grams equals 1 swing weight point. On the grip end, it’s 4 grams equals 1 swing weight point. So, 3 swing weight points on the head end is 6 grams. For a swing weight to stay the same, you would have counterbalance by 12 grams on the butt end (4 grams per swing weight on the butt or grip end x 3).
