How much to tip trim a .335 L tech fairway shaft for a 23 degree hybrid
Generally you would not trim the tip, but when there is not a hybrid specific trim instruction, you should go by what the head weight is. If the head weight, for instance, is that of say a #4 iron (approx. 247 g), then trim the tip 1/2″, which is what the trim is on the LTech Hybrid/Iron shafts for a #4 iron. If the head weight is 241 grams (#3 iron head weight), for instance, then no tip trim since there is no tip trim on a #3 iron on the LTech shafts. Of course, after rimming the tip, if needed, and after the shaft is installed, you would trim to final playing length from the butt end of the shaft.
