I was looking at picking up the 7 and 9 wood of the Trouble Out FW, but they no longer seem to be available. How does the UFW compare to the trouble out?
I am a huge fan of extremely low gravity centered FW’s, I love my old persimmon ones.
The New UFW is a lower profile (shallower face height) with a less extreme sole. It is still a very low cg fairway option and probably a little easier to hit for most players. The original Trouble Out was a great product. It might be a little less forgiving on tighter lies due to the sole design than the new UFW’s. It was tremendous out of the rough, but we haven’t seen the new UFW’s any less effective out of rough even though the sole is less extreme. On tight lies, the new UFW is really easy to hit. Hope this helps.
