I play the Tour Edge XRail 4W and 7W. I like the clubheads, but tend to miss to the left; plus, the shafts feel a bit spongy since I got my new driver. The XRails have the Graphite Design Series 60 R-flex from circa 2012: 60 grams, 4.0 torque, Mid launch and Medium Tip.

Irons fly with slight draw (as intended), and I’ve really straightened out my drives since getting a Callaway XR16 Pro (set 11*) with a Fuji Speeder 665 Evolution II TS in R-flex: 63 gram, 3.4 torque, 3″ parallel tip, Mid launch // MPF = 3B2M)

So, if I tip trim the GD shafts in my XRails, what influence would that have on shaft torque? Lessen it noticeably?

Or would I be better off to replace them with a Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue 65 Graphite Wood Shaft (specs below), on sale through Golf Galaxy for $39.99?
