In Ralph’s book on golf clubs he mentions his MPF listing of putter heads-I cannot find it.
Ralph did extensive research on putters and their playability and there is an entire section (Section 11) in his latest book on Putter Fitting, Performance and Playability. However, he never did an MPF rating of putters like the iron MPF list. So, there is no official list and we have not measured putters for the purpose of assigning an MPF rating. When Ralph wrote the book, the intention was to do such a list, but it simply never did happen. We have measured many putters, but not in recent years. There are simply too many models of putters in the marketplace for us to keep a list current, so we abandoned the idea of having a list, like we do the irons. I think if you study the section in the book on putters you will have a good knowledge of all the variables that go into choosing the right putter and how to be sure it is fit properly.
