Hello, any thoughts on which Maltby wedge might be the closest (leading edge, sole, head shape, playability) to the Cleveland 485 series from about 25 years ago? The 56 SW is one of my favorite clubs of all time. I’m not a technical expert but to the naked eye I see a more rounded leading edge than many wedges as well as an overall round shape of the head at address. I know there won’t be an exact comp but figured I’d ask as I’m looking into Maltby’s line of wedges. Thanks in advance.

Long time ago on that Cleveland wedge, but I am familiar with it. I don’t like to compare, and it’s difficult to do when you don’t have the side by side. Without being able to compare sole radius, bounce, sole widths etc., I would say our new DRT S grind would be for the same type or players. Unfortunately we don’t have them in stock yet (delayed due to tariffs), but when we do that would be one to look at. Also the Max 0.90 sole wedge looks like it could be similar.

Thank you very much. In the photos, the leading edge of the Max looks a bit more rounded, which is drawing me to it. Is that just an effect/quirk of the photos or is that edge more rounded? Appreciate your time!
I have the Max in a 58 and the 54 bent to 53 both with R/S shaft, Love them both. To me they are pretty rounded, looks like the picture in person.
