80 year old playing partner considering KE4 TC Pro IST hybrid (5h) pak utilizing new Maltby Pro Series+ shaft. Typical 7 iron carry is approximately 130 yards. Currently plays Ping G430 7 & 9 woods with VA Composites Nemesys 55 Three shafts.  He is happy with feel & flight of those shafts. Would you recommend A or R flex for the 5h?  Depending on the flex, should the shaft be soft or hard stepped?

Also interested in DRT Forged Wedge pak (56 & 60 degrees) with TT Score LT shafts.  Is R flex appropriate? Should they be soft stepped? Currently plays ProtoConcept irons & wedges with graphite shafts but says he prefers the feel of steel in wedges.
