Hi Brit,

I am in the process of adding some extra fairway & hybrids to my bag.

What is the swing weight of the KE4 TC Pro IST fairway 7 & 9 woods with the

Pro Series + graphite shaft fitted to standard lengths and the Mid size Super Stroke

grip, also the KE4 TC Pro IST hybrid H5 with the Pro Sreies + graphite shaft fitted

to standard length ans Mid size Super Stroke grip.

What do I need to do to get these clubs to D0/D1 swing weights.

I really need to know what flex shaft and what exact Super Stroke Midsize grip to get you a more accurate estimate. Shaft weights vary by flex and there are several Super Stroke Midsize grips that that range in weight by as much as 11 grams. If I use a 70 gram shaft weight and a 64 gram midsize grip weight, the #7 wood at 41.5″ will be around C5-C6. #9 wood at 41.0″ would be the same. The #5 Hybrid with the same shaft and grip weight at 39.25″ should be around D0.

On the fairways at those specs, you would need to add the heaviest weight (14 grams) but that would only get you to C8-C9 since the weight that comes installed is 8 grams, so your only adding 6. If you make the fairways to the longer standard length of 42 on the #7 and 41.5 on the #9 (generally for shaft weights under 64 grams), you would get to around C8. Or, if you use a 53 gram midsize grip instead of a 64 gram grip on the standard 41.5 and 41 lengths, you would get to around C8 too.

You should be able to get close to your target, but again I would need to know exactly the grip and shaft flex. Also, the swing weight calculator I use is not perfect. it is an estimator and could be +- a swing weight or two off from the actual once you build the club. If your picky about the swing weight, I always recommend dry fitting all the components and seeing what the swing weight will be before epoxy is used. Then it’s easier to make adjustments.

Hi Britt, sorry I forgot to include the flex of the shaft. It is the A flex.
I am referring to the components of the KE4 TC Pro IST Fairway and Hybrid
Club Paks. I will need to know what have to order to get them to D0/D1 SW.

If we are assembling just put the swing weight spec you want in the order notes. If you are building, you will need to order some extra weights. They come with 8 grams weights installed, so you would need to order some options of the heavier weights. The heaviest we offer is 14 grams, so that would get you 3 swing weights.
To review, the fairways with A flex shafts to our standard lengths with the 63 gram grip will be Around C4-C5. The hybrid at standard length should be around D0. So for the FW’s you will need to add approximately 10 grams to close to D0. As I said before, you can tweak the length slightly longer, use a lighter weight mid size grip and you would not need to add as much. So you will need a combination of the head weights we sell and tip weights if you want to get the 10 grams you need at the standard lengths to get the fairways to the D0 swing weight. Again, this is all just estimated based on a swing weight calculator. These estimates could be off +- 1 or 2 swing weights either way.
