I play TS3’s in 4-6 irons and I need to bridge a gap down to my 17* club. I’m thinking about swapping the 4-5 TS3’s for TS3.5’s and would gain yards due to the lofts. But I see that CMC and polymer is done behind the face. Will that tech add even more ball speed over the 2* stronger lofts? I’m afraid of turning them into rocket launchers that create big gaps off my TS3 6 iron when I just don’t hit that many 200+ yard shots in a round. And I really don’t hit many 5’s as it’s too long for most fairway shots and too short for many tee shots where I’m laying up. It’s like a club for a 205 yard par 3 or a wide open approach to a green on a par 5.

So, is that tech going to be too hurt my gaps or is that a good thing? Current yardages are below (give or take 5 yards)

6i – 195

5i – 205

4i – 220

17* utility wood – 240

14* fairway – 265

Driver – 285
