M0-6 was around 2004. It is a Super Game Improvement iron (725 MPF rating). It was made of 431 Stainless and had a little more offset than it’s brother the M0-5. The STi2 2nd Gen is also Super Game Improvement (772 MPF rating). The difference in the ratings is not that great and within the range that would make it difficult to notice a difference in playability. Probably the biggest difference you would notice in the lofts. 5 iron on the M0-6 is 27 degrees. 5 iron on the STi2 is 25 degrees. 6 irons are 31 degrees on the MO-6 and 28.5 o the STi2. So that should translate into at least half a club distance difference. Sole width is narrower on the M0-6 as well (.781 vs .850 on a 6 iron).
So, other than those differences and what they translate to with regards to performance, both should be very forgiving. I would probably build a #7 iron of each exactly to my specs and then compare them. That would be the best way to tell if you like the feel and performance of one over the other.
