Hi Britt – what swing speeds are recommended for stiff vs regular for graphite MPFs? Currently play steel shafts with 7 iron swing speed in low 80s and looking for lighter shafts with stability.

Generally speaking, driver swing speed of 77-92 mph would be an R flex, 93-107 mph would be a stiff. Of course there are other factors like tempo, but that would be the general range. If your 7 irons speed is in the low 80’s, then yo should be in the stiff range. Again generally speaking, 7 iron speed will be approximately 20% less than a driver speed, so an 80 mph 7 iron swing speed should translate into around 100 mph driver speed.
