Just teasing. That XC1 iron looks amazing. What can you tell us about the XCW wedges, specifically the grinds? I’ve been gaming a set of XC2 irons since last year and love them.

XC1’s, as you may or may not know, are the TS4’s with a different back and slightly different lofts (not by much). The XCW’s are the DRT wedges. They kept changing the grind designations the wanted to use, so I will try and get this right. The Maxfli A grind 50 and 52 are the DRT G Grinds. The Maxfli M grind is our A grind 54, 56, 58 and 60 options. The Maxfli X grind is our W grind, the 56 and 60. So you can compare the grinds and all the details by looking at the corresponding DRT information if needed.
Both the XC1’s and XCW’s are the same materials and techology we used in out TS4’s and DRT’s. Of course subtle differences in the weighting to achieve the high playability is something we had to adjust because of the different back design, but they are excellent.
The subject of The Golfworks being able to sell the heads as components has been touched on, but nothing serious at this point. Makes sense to us to sell as premium components, but I think they want to sell as complete clubs in the store for a while. We will see if the component option, or even as a custom build option through The Golfworks, is something that can happen in the future.
