Hi Britt,
Looking for some guidance – I want to shaft up a 13.5 mini driver as I’ve been curious about minis for while. I’m wanting to build it based off of my Srixon ZX 3W that has the 1st Gen MPF Pro Series FW shaft (R flex). I swing that extremely well, launch, trajectory, dispersion, all generally excellent and consistent. My 3W swing speed is 98 mph with a moderate tempo and I do typically play an S flex in all other brands.
Do you still have the EI shaft profile information for that shaft available? After a thorough search, I can’t confidently narrow down what the profile of the MPF Pro Series FW shaft is, other than knowing it has an stiffer tip profile overall with a mid kick.
Some of the stock shaft options I have been looking into are the Fujikura Pro Black 70 S, MCA Kai’li DW White 70 S, Denali Frost Black 70 6.0. If I’m in the right ballpark, which is likely to be the closest match in EI profile, feel, and head stability so that I can get an idea of where to start my tests?
Thanks!
Thanks for the info, this is incredibly helpful and a good place to start testing. I’ll give the Kai’li White and Denali Frost Black a go with the mini head. I wonder if either an X flex Frost Blue or extra tipped Frost Blue S could work nicely too.
If all else fails, I’ll likely just end up grabbing myself an S flex 2nd gen MPF Pro Series+ FW anyway then selling the stock shaft that I end up picking.
Thank you again, appreciate it!
