The 2023 review of golf balls caught my eye as the Maxfli Tour X performed so well compared to every other ball except ProV1. I bought a box and am excited to try, but am curious if this is what you (Golfworks or any of the good people out there) found as well
They’ve routinely been shown to be just as good as the ProV’s for performance and durability. Many, many reviews show it, as does the MGS ball lab and bi-annual ball test. Plus, they’re a great value especially in the 2-pack and 4-pack.
This is from a comparison video TXG did in 2022. This is for the 7 iron, but the same holds true for the Driver, PW, LW. The Maxfli’s are one of the most underrated and underappreciated balls in golf.
The Maxfli Tour is a really good ball. Developed by the PD team at Dick’s / Golf Galaxy (they own the brand). We have done some testing for them during the development. Can’t argue with what MGS states about it. I think it’s a good ball for all levels of players, including tour level.

It is a great ball, comes out of the same factory as Vice. Doesn’t have that extra special something like the Pro V1, a few extra yards, more rpm’s, sound(feel)? Well worth the money, esp. If you are a duffer, like myself
