Previously played 95 gram steel (950gh, KBS Tour lite etc) for years and switched to Steelfiber 70CW regular due to elbow issues. 5 hc with 7 iron SS 77-78 mph and medium tempo. I need launch and spin so this weight and profile fits me on paper. But I have struggled with the lighter weight at times especially if I get aggressive. Dispersion has been affected some. Question is if I tried the Steelfiber FC 90 reg or even the standard SF95 reg softstepped once or twice, would they play similar to a 95 gram high launch steel shaft? Longest iron is 6 if that matters. Thanks

place about 6” of lead tape down the back of the shaft.. center it 14” from top end of club! An easy & cheaper way to find out!

I generally tell people that no graphite shaft will play like a steel shaft. That is mainly because of the material difference and how they feel. You can have similar ball flights, but they will not feel the same. If you’re simply concerned the weight, then makes sense to try the heavier version of the SteelFiber. You could try the 80CW or the 95CW. The 80CW would not be as big of a weight transition, but you may want it heavier. Can’t really say if the ball flight would be similar to a high launch Steel 95 gram. It might, but again, won’t feel the same.
