I’m unsure how to decide. I’m coming from old ping eye 2s and like that feel more than the clicky Callaway AI200s and Cobra King Tecs. I tried my friend’s TS3’s in chrome and also preferred them to the Callaway and Cobra. Just not sure how to pick between chrome or DBM… like how of the buttery feel would I be losing with DBM as a trade off for durability and looks?

Separately, I was fitted into Dynamic Gold 100 mid S shafts with the AI200s… leaning towards those for the TS3s but just resisting the price jump from Score shafts a bit. Thoughts on that? Swing speed of 90-92mph 7 iron.

Also just seeing that DG mid 100s are meant more for stronger loft, lower spin clubs like the ai200s so maybe I need to adjust for the TS3 regardless? TS3 has 2 degrees more loft on 5-9 irons, 1 degree more on 4 and PW, and same GW

I don’t think there would be a difference in feel between the chrome vs the DBM version, but everyone is different. I do not notice any difference. Still, if you prefer the chrome, might want to wait for the chrome.

As far as the shaft, the TT Score is a lightweight, high trajectory shaft. The DG Mid 100 is even lighter and is listed as a mid/high trajectory. If you are worried that you will hit the TS3’s too high with the slightly weaker lofts than than the AI200’s, then the DG Mid 100 would probably be the choice. The Score is a great shaft and when trimmed for a stiff flex, which you definitely need based on your swing speed, it is more of a mid/high trajectory. So, it could work as well. Might be worth it to test a #7 iron TS3 with the Score before investing in the entire set.

Price is going up on True Temper shafts August 1, so they are only going to get more expensive. Basically all steel is going up due to steel prices / tariffs.

Piggybacking off this. You commented on price of TT shafts increasing starting in August, does that mean the TS3 Pak price will go up once they become available again (hopefully mid-August)?
TptAlan please update us with the feel vs chrome, I would also like to upgrade to DBM one day so I’m very curious
Pjo336, I hit my TS3 dbm next to a chrome Maxfli XC2. They felt pretty much identical to me. I don’t think the dbm changes the feel at all.
