Wondering if I can disassemble the SWRM and maybe move the bubble level slightly to correct for a slight error.

There is a bolt underneath that you can loosen and you should be able adjust it. If not, let me know and we can replace the scale, no problem.

Great. Thanks for letting me know and apologies for the inconvenience. Never heard of one having that issue, but happy you were able to make the simple adjustment. It s a great scale. We’ve been making it here in Ohio for almost 50 years. Only had two guys make them. One just retired 2 years ago. Hopefully we can keep making them for 50 more…

That is a great story, very satisfying to know I’ve purchased a long-term craftsmanship tool – those are the very best! The only ergonomic challenge I’ve had is reading that bubble level, since it sits directly under the balance arm. There are two screws for brackets that capture the arm onto the fulcrum, but the brackets seem to be welded or painted onto the fulcrum as they don’t want to budge even with screws removed. Wondering if that level really needs to be centered (maybe it does, for scale accuracy) – the bubble would be easier to read if it were offset even a half-inch or so. Minor in the grand scheme.
Thanks for the feedback and suggestion. Much appreciated.

Thanks Britt, roughly 5/8 of a turn counter-clockwise brought the bubble to spot on. Great scale btw, very impressed with the quality.
