I’ve been using the Ping G irons for a while, but I feel it might be time for a change. I’m looking for something that is even easier to hit, and I’ve been considering the Maxfli XC3. With the G irons, it often feels like I have to struggle to achieve the results I want with the Pings, like I’m fighting with the clubs, if that makes sense. I’d like irons that feel a bit more smooth.

I noticed that on the MPF, the Maxfli clubs are only 34 points higher, which I believe is relatively unnoticeable. Would you say these clubs could be significantly different in terms of meeting my needs, or am I being ridiculous?

These are Not even close to being the same type of clubhead. And the Pings are far stronger lofted (if my memory serves me correctly). Cavity back cast vs Forged tungsten filled.
Every test result I have I seen in recent years have rated the Pings as near the bottom in shot dispersion (accuracy).
