So I have the IST pro five wood and seven wood, along with four hybrid and then I have the TS3’s 6-G. My issue is I am having a really hard time catching that six iron well most of the time and the seven iron I would say I catch it well 75 to 80% of the time. I thought I was ready for the cavity back style and maybe still am on the higher lofted ones but I need an adjustment somewhere. What would you suggest if I remove the six iron from my bag what would be the next club or two clubs to go in between the seven wood and four hybrid IST pros and the 7I TS3? I could go wood hybrid or maybe even a TS 3.5 or something different if you suggest it? I have a pretty aggressive swing and a pretty high swing ski. I play stiff to xstiff flex. Thank you for any recommendations.

First, difficult to understand why you can’t hit the #6 iron but the #7 iron is OK. I have to assume the specs of the #6 are correct, the shafts are the same, etc. That would be the first thing I looked at. In looking at the lofts of all the clubs you listed, you have a 4 hy at 23 degrees, 5w at 26, 6 iron at 28, 7w at 29 and 7 iron at 32. Length variations come into play. I don’t think replacing the #6 TS3 with the 6 TS3.5 (26 deg.) makes sense since it is pretty similar to the TS3 except for the stronger loft. Maybe try the IST Hy #6 at 29 deg. I know that is the same as the #7 wood, but would play at a shorter playing length and still leave a 4 degree gap between it and the #7 iron.

So the only suggestion I can give is to make sure the TS3 specs are right, then possibly try the IST #6 hybrid to replace the TS3 #6 iron.

Thank you appreciate that, there is nothing wrong with the TS3 6 iron maybe just a mental thing or something but I just do not hit it well or consistent. Possibly just intimidating mentally knowing that I do not strike it well.
I completely understand. Had that same thing happen to me about the 5 iron for a round or two. Built me another one, but hit it worse, went back to the original and hit it fine. I’m sure you will work it out.
