Hi All,

I started golfing in February of this year so I’m still a high handicap (30). I’m using a set of second hand clubs I bought cheap off Facebook market place. After having a lesson the coach confirmed my current clubs probably aren’t a great fit for me since they’re regular flex and my swing speed is on the border of stiff and x-stiff.

Rather than buying another set of second hand clubs which I will replace eventually, I’ve decided to go a new set that I will hopefully keep for years to come, and I’ve landed on Maltby. I’m debating between the 3 sets listed in the title. I understand the TS3 is probably the best fit with the highest MPF and lower CG, but I also absolutely love the look of the IM’s and especially the TS4’s.

Just looking to see if any other high handicaps (or anyone for that matter) who may have tested each club have any feedback or suggestions.

I ordered three 7 irons for my son to do long term demos with. I would recommend you to do the same but it appears the Ts3 7 iron head is currently out of stock. Maybe someone will reply with an estimate of when they’ll be back.

For what it is worth, he only asked to demo the STi2 Gen2 initially. He’s a beginner & I suggested we get the KE4 Max as well, thinking he’d prefer the forgiveness.

Then at the last minute I decided I wanted him to try something with a narrow sole & chose the TS1-IM. At the time I didn’t see the original TS1 on the last page of heads or I would’ve ordered that instead to save a few bucks.

Much to my surprise he’s really leaning towards the TS1-IM despite still being a high handicap. There is something about the sole design that just works for him. This is why I wanted him to demo them on real grass.

I’m leaning towards doing the same of ordering 1 of each club to test what I like. Likely a 6 iron since the TS3 7 iron isn’t available as you mentioned, and it’s a slightly more difficult club to hit, so should give some decent insights.
