A couple months ago I picked up the PTM 4 putter and like it pretty well except the toe hang. Lag putting surprised me as well as distance control. Long story short, paint started flaking its going back to Maltby right now for a change out.
I was talking to them about upgrading the head to the newer 1020C PTB-WB head as it has only 20 degree of toe hang which will fit my stroke better.
Would this be an upgrade or downgrade?
Thanks Britt,
Jim told me the 1020C was similar to what is used in my TS3 irons and would feel as good and since the toe hang is more in line with my stroke I went ahead to told them to move forward with the upgrade yesterday.
I was just getting dialed in with the PTM4 and was very impressed with strike consistency and distance control. I really liked the feel and ping off the face so I was hoping the 1020C wont be to soft but I shall see.
