We use to be the ones to go to for re-chroming. Unfortunately, our original source for the chroming part closed up shop. We found another, but it was not local like the original and the cost was much higher and the lead time was way longer. Our process was that we would disassemble the irons, if necessary, and send them to the chroming facility to have the irons stripped. Then they would be sent back to us to clean up, fix dings, etc. After, cleaning them up, we would send back to get the actual chrome applied. Then returned to us for paint fill, assembly if needed, QC and ship to the customer.
Once the timeline increased and more so the cost went up substantially, we made the decision to no longer offer the service.
The only one that I know of is Flanigan Bilt Golf. He is up around Cleveland, Ohio. We have not used them, but they are customers of ours and from what we can tell, do really good refurbishing work. That being said, I or we have not used their re-chroming service, so really can’t speak to the quality or the service.
