It doesn’t have to be exactly the same weight category but I would love to know if there is anything out there in the graphite world that would feel / launch similarly to the Nippon 950 Neo – Stiff.
I’m considering one of those options. Any input would be great! Thanks.
No steel shaft will feel like a composite graphite shaft. Different materials absorb shock and vibrations differently and therefore simply cannot feel the same. That being said, you can have similar profiles that can result in similar playing characteristics.
Based on the profiles we have in our database of the shafts you listed, the PGI 90 S+ has a very similar profile to the NS Pro 950 GH Neo. The only other one that is kind of close is the MPF Pro Series+ in the X flex, not the S flex. It is similar in the butt section, slightly softer in the mid section and slightly firmer in the tip section. The others, the Rapport and the Grafalloy, are softer in their overall profile.
