What is the acceptable prepping for a shaft for mini driver. Are you tip trimming with a driver shaft and no tip trimming with 3 wood shaft, or are they butt trimmed only ??

Depends on the shaft and the head weight. If the head weight is more like a 3 wood head weight, reasonable to assume you could trim it for a #3 wood. Most driver shafts would be no tip trim and butt trim only, but again, depends on the shaft and the head weight of the mini driver as to whether or not you could trim the tip. Also, always be aware of the parallel tip section length of the shaft when trimming. Can’t trim too much if the shaft has a short parallel tip length dimension.

Thanks for the response. To add to this conversation, I contacted the Newton shaft co., since that is the shaft I was working with, and they confirmed that they butt trim only for a mini driver. “Because of the elongated bend profile, we do not tip driver OR 3 wood shafts” Just so you know. Thanks again.
