Hi Britt,

2 questions:

1) as the MCC plus 4 jumbo grips are out of stock, I tried the Winn Dritac LT recently and am not getting along with it due to it feeling too ‘squishy’. Are the CPX along the same lines? Are there other alternatives I could consider?

2) I tried the Rapport Hybrid Shaft with FDI 2 Iron in TS flex. I’m finding that I’m fading/even slicing the ball when my natural shot shape is a draw. I use a PGI100 in my irons and I find the rapport to be a lot whippier? Is that the case? Do I need something quite abit stiffer to hit it better?

p.s. thanks so much for the 0 offset Moment XI putter. Stuck a SS 5.0 grip on and never had so much confidence on my 5ft putts and under. So stable and easy to use. Had many putters before this and tinkered a lot with weight as well but nothing comes close to the feel, stability and confidence im having with it.

First, great to hear the putter worked out. Nothing better than having confidence in the putter.

On the Grip question, the new CPX grip is an interesting grip. Definitely softer, with a unique feel. Our experience with it so far is that it is tacky, but you have to keep it clean. The tack goes away after a while, but once you wipe it off with a damp towel, the tack comes back. It could be worth a try. Personally, I like the CP2 Wrap or CP2 Pro for a softer option. As I write this we do have the CP2 Wrap in the mid and jumbo in stock, but they will go quickly. We also have the JTV Velvet Jumbo in stock, and we have the Tour Wrap Microsuede in the Jumbo in stock. If you need or want the reminder or Align technology, we have the Velvet Midsize with Align in stock. Also we have the Lamkin ST+2 Hybrid with Calibrate technology (their version of the Align) in midsize in stock. that should give you some options to consider.

On the Rapport Hybrid shaft, we developed it to be right on the averages for flex for the given categories. In other words, the stiff is a true stiff, the regular a true regular, etc. They are not a weak stiff, or strong stiff, but a true stiff, regular, etc. The TS in the Rapport is not intended to be as stiff as an X flex, but is a little stiffer than a traditional S flex. The PGI 100 is an X flex is is definitely stiffer. A too flexible shaft will not automatically produce right tendency shots or left tendency shots, but can produce inconsistency. So, if your swing speed is strong enough to handle the PGI 100 X , you might need to put that same shaft in the FDI 2 Iron. KBS Graphite on the stiffer flexes tend to be, in my experience, on the firmer side of the flex designation.
