I have some graphite shaft pulls that if glued to the bottom of 1.25” bore will make the irons 0.25” short to desired length. Instead of dealing with shaft extensions on the butt end, will glueing 1” of tip be sufficient to secure shaft for a <90 mph driver swing speed?
I like a 1.25″ shaft penetration better than just the 1″. 1″ makes them more susceptible to failure. That being said, they might work fine, but the 1″ is more likely to fail than the 1.25″. If the graphite shafts were a heavier weight, tip stiff, etc., they might be more likely to be OK, but if they are lighter and more flexible, they might have less strength in the tip section.
