I currently have Tour v 90 stiff shafts in my irons. Would like to add a maltby max wedge in 54 to the set. I see that head only offered in .370 and the kbs tour v wedge shaft only offered in .355.
What shaft would you recommend? Should I try tour v stiff in 8 iron cut down to wedge length?
You can use the .355 Tour V wedge shaft in the MAX Wedges, no problem. We do it everyday using the SHIM 355-370. So if the Tour V is the best shaft for you, that is what I would do. Most of the wedge specific shafts in steel are .355″. If you are not comfortable shimming the Tour V, then probably would need to just go with the .370″ tip KBS Tour shaft (FS0019) and trim it for a wedge.
