No, this question is NOT solved. I do not yet have the answer.

I want to tip an R flex shaft to play just a little softer than a S flex. What would it take to tip an R to become an S?

It is a Mitsubishi Diamana S+ x62ct

Hey Leo. I posted the answer, but something happened I guess. Here it is again.

Generally, 1″ tip trim is equal to 1 full flex in graphite. You could trim 1/2″ to get something between an R and S flex, or even go 3/4″ to get to a soft S flex. With 3″ of parallel tip section length, you have enough length to trim the tip.
