Hi, purchased your KE4 Max heads. Beautiful clubheads. I am going to build the set with some reg flex TT SL shafts (370 parallel tip) I have from a set of irons I purchased on ebay years ago. The issue I have is I am not sure how these were originally tipped and or butt trimmed. Can you tell me what the tip to the first step would be for a 7 iron if it was tipped to flex to a reg flex. If I know what a typical tip trim is for a 7 iron, or any iron, leaves from tip to first step I can then determine what shaft to put in what heads for desired flex. Or, can you tell me what the tip to the first step on a new TT SL should be. Hope this makes sense.
Thanks
Thank you so much for your timely response. The silk screen on these shafts say Dynamic Gold SL. There is no indication as to R300, S300 or X100. Some facts and a couple more questions
The length to the step above the silk screen is now 7″ and the length to the actual first step (and you’re right you can’t see it unless you know it is there) is 3.5″. If I am correct that would indicate that 5″ has been removed from the tip. The shaft now 36″ overall length and weighs 102 grams after the removal of 5″ from the tip.
Original shaft weight would have been? Making them R300 or S300?
