Noticed the Ascent 60 X is marked 5B1M – which is low launch…Aldila lists it as mid/mid.
Wanted to get some expert opinions on this. Thank you!
We list it as a mid trajectory in the specs, but the MPF is the 5B1M indicating it falls in the low trajectory category for the way we calculate the shaft MPF. In the X and TX flexes our analysis indicates the shaft is a mid bend firm tip profile. The firm tip profile is what puts it in “1” category. In a case like this, it is probably more of a low/mid trajectory, and for some it may be that mid trajectory. In my experience, when you get into the X flex and TX categories, they tend to fall into the low or low/mid trajectory. I will verify with Aldila and go back and check the numbers to verify the MPF.
