Hi All. I have one more question. I have read on the GW page but can someone tell me does the Nippon 950 GH in R flex play similar to KBS Tour Lite R??

I have AMT black R300 and want to switch out my existing shafts in the T200’s (19 model) to possibly 950 GH which would give me a little more spin and height. I like the AMT in the lower irons but in the higher lofted irons they feel heavy for me

If anyone could shed a little light id appreciate it. Thanks Guys

And with the lighter shaft I’ll eventually end up with a slightly different SW. (I read 9 g shaft difference is 1 SW so I’d lose 2 points) I understand this but adding say 6-8-10 gram tip weights to get clubs to balance out (say D2) will the added weight in the shaft greatly affect the overall profile of the shaft? Or am I reading too much into this.

** I really feel sometimes in my AMT shafts @D2 I am fighting the weight of the heavier short shafts **

The NS Pro 950 GH is similar in flex in the butt section and slightly softer in the tip section. The differences are not that great, by my experience tells me the NS Pro would probably feel slightly softer. Trajectories would probably be similar, but both would be considered mid/high to high.

Adding tip weights to achieve a swing weight can change the flex profile slightly. Every 2 grams of weight added equals a cycle. 10 cycles to a flex. So if you add 6 grams of tip weight, for example, the shaft will play 3 cycles more flexible or a little less than a 1/3 of a flex. This assumes you are starting with a standard head weight.

I don’t think you are over analyzing, but it comes down to finding the feel and trajectory you want. Different shafts can feel different, adding weight can change the feel, etc. You will just have to base your decision on what you think will work based on the all your information and give it a try.

Many Thanks Brett. I ordered a set of these shafts for my 19 model T200’s and excited to dial them in. I bought the nice ferrule turning stand as well and I am going to get these irons looking pro here soon. I am really looking forward to hitting them as what I have now, I am working against myself… I think this choice will be excellent and I have heard the Nippon shafts are smooth. can’t wait for my GW order to come!
