Demoing the TE Forged and absolutely love the soft feel at impact. Now thinking I might prefer the slightly stronger loft of this DBM. Do these feel harsh due to the finish? One reviewer claimed they did. I’d hate to buy yet another demo to find out.
Assuming you’re demoing the original, and not the TE+, but it doesn’t really matter as it relates to your question. The DBM versions do NOT feel harsh or harder. There is nothing in the process that affects the hardness of the metal on these True Billet Forged 1025 Carbon Steel heads. I played the original DBM’s for years, after playing the chrome version. No difference in the feel. That is my experience with them.

I have had both and now TS4. DBM is legit and feels as soft as anything when well struck. Off center are still fine but will provide feedback.
