I have a PING I25 diver I use for sampling shafts. I was trying a new shaft and it became loose. I used the torque wrench to tighten it and the screw head snapped. There was never a “click” and the tension release.  I put in another screw and it also snapped the head off. Again, never a “click” and tension release.  I don’t know what is wrong.

I have a G425. Maybe I am using the wrong torque wrench? Are there different torque wrenches for the different PING models?  Is it the adapter? Did I just have bad screws?  All of the parts are OEM. What could be the root cause of this?

Thank you.

These torque wrenches are cheap. Could be it’s went bad and no longer torquing to the proper inch lbs.
