What is the best way to remove a bore thru shaft with the GW FASTE shaft extractor? Iam trying to remove a shaft from a Callaway 3 wood.
Thank you

There really is no difference in removing a shaft from a bore through wood then there is with a non bore through. The process is the same. I always use a heat gun on a high setting and heat the back side of the hosel or head in this case. I like to keep the nozzle on the heat gun about 3″ away from the clubhead when heating. It generally takes no more than 1 minute or 1.5 minutes for the clubhead to come loose from the shaft. I personally play older Callaway bore through fairway woods and never had any issues when I reshafted them.
Mount shaft as you normally would. I heat the shaft from the back of the head. Use a heat gun, keep pressure on the head with the lever. Remove heat when the head just starts to move.
I used a propane torch the first time I pulled a bore-thru callway 3W in 1998. I caught the head on fire!
