Hello fellow Maltby enthusiasts,

I currently own three Maltby iron models (TS3 4-7, TS1-IM 4-7, and TS4 4-GW) and I’m looking to create the optimal mixed set. I really like my TS4 irons from 8-iron down, and I’m even happy with the 7-iron performance (-7 Handicap). However, I find the TS4’s becoming more challenging to hit consistently when I get to the 5-iron territory.

I’m seeking advice on how to best blend these models, specifically:

  1. Which model would be best for my 4, 5, and 6 irons? (Possibly 7-iron too, though I might just bend my TS4 7-iron strong by a degree?)
  2. Would I be better off with just two models in the final set, or could all three work together cohesively?
  3. Do headweights vary significantly between these models, and would this affect swing weight consistency?
  4. Which specific clubs would benefit most from loft/lie adjustments to ensure proper gapping and consistency?

To help with recommendations, I’ve included a detailed specs comparison below:

Hoping you all will geek out with me a little for fun.  Should the TE+ enter the mix as well?
