Hello, I am a custom club builder/technician, and I was wondering if diode or CO2 laser etching is viable on the DBM coating? I understand that the 1025C base metal of the head will oxidize after it is exposed, and that 1025C requires a marking agent to be marked with a CO2 or diode laser. If the DBM coating is what I suspect it is, then I already have my answer, but I thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask the source before I just tried to etch the club head.
