Howdy, I just bought the KE4 hybrid head and I need to purchase a shaft. I’ve been piddling it around but wanted a recommendation. I’m kind of looking on the lower cost end of things. I’m a .6 handicap and my driver swing speed is 110 and a pretty smooth transition. I’ve found I kind of prefer a lighter shaft because I have an intercostal issue. Any recommendations are appreciated! It’s a 5 hybrid and I’ve been looking at the Maltby MPF .370 Stiff flex iron shaft

Right now I’m playing the Nippon NS Pro 850GH NEO Iron Shafts in a regular flex in the TS3’s which has been a pretty neat combo

I would just go with the Maltby MPF Pro Series Hybrid shaft in the S flex. Designed for the hybrid and is very similar to the iron shaft. You can go with the iron shaft if you want. Just need to trim it based on the head weight of the hybrid head. Not sure which KE4 Hybrid head you have, but if the head weight of the #5 hybrid is 256g for example, then you would trim the iron shaft to the closest standard iron head weight to that. Probably closest to #5 iron. If you use the hybrid shaft, simply trim to the hybrid trimming instructions for a #5 Hybrid, which is 1″ from the tip and then to final playing length from the butt.
