I recently went through an iron fitting using Titleist T250 heads and was fit into KBS Tour 120g stiff, which tightened my dispersion and reduced my typical right miss compared to my current True Temper Score stiff shafts in my TS3s. The fitter mentioned the KBS profile may be a bit stronger and helping me deliver the face more square.

With everything I’m now seeing on graphite shafts, I’m interested in testing graphite iron shafts with a similar profile to the Maltby Pro Series+, but I’m concerned that some of the lighter options (around 80g) may be too light given the success I had with a 120g steel shaft. I’d like to test both lighter Pro Series+–type graphite and a heavier graphite option side-by-side. From a practical standpoint, would you recommend buying a full new set built with graphite, or just purchasing shafts to install in my current TS3 irons to compare performance?

Hello,

I’m curious about the potential drawbacks of using a Ventus Blue driver shaft in a Persimmon driver. I currently have a Ventus Blue shaft in a modern driver and love it. I’ve been playing a persimmon quite a bit lately, and I’m wondering if I could achieve the best of both worlds by using a Ventus Blue shaft in a Persimmon driver?

Hey,

I’ve bought myself a set of TE+ iron heads last week. I had confirmation of purchase but I can’t see anyway about ETA to the UK (where I’m based).

Any one had experience with this and can share a rough delivery time?

GW,

I’m looking for the plug that stops epoxy from traveling up the shaft. Does GW carry them? Would you have a work around?

Thanks

Jeff

Currently gaming the Mits Kai’li blue Stiff in my Cobra DS Adapt X at A3 (-1° loft and 1° flat). I really like the performance and feel of the Kai’li as a stock shaft offering, but like most, I’m just looking for any extra edge in performance if it’s available.. and with a limited budget.

My situation is kind of unique in that I really hit up on the ball (+/- 6°). I play a higher spinning ball too because I need spin. My average spin is around 1800 and I’ve tried a number of shafts in the mid to high launch/spin bucket. Lower launching shafts spin too low for me (1400-1600) but produce a great launch and flight.. but just knuckle out of the air. High launching shafts put me right around 2k spin, but then kick up my launch to 16+° and decent angles are just too steep.

I’m content with the performance of the Kai’li, but would the Core Blue give me any higher spin while keeping my launch down? I’ve also had the Pro+ on and off, but I’m finding that I need a higher torque rating to help close the club face and the Pro+ just stays open a little longer than I like for my contact/swing.

Thanks in advance!

Stu

Im a huge fan of my Matrix Ozik Program F15 85S shafts on my irons. Granted they are hybrid shafts I installed on my 6-GW, but they still work pretty darn well.

The issue I have is these are older shafts and sold brand that no longer makes the Program series of shafts. To my understanding, these have a very linear EI profile, allowing for the profile to match almost any way you cut them across the set. Should I need to replace them and cant find a suitable Matrix set anymore, which shafts would you recommend that fit the feel and load to yalls knowledge?

Hello,

I’m looking at the TS3 DBM PAK with either the Kuro Kage Gen 2 or the MPF Pro Series+ shafts both in regular flex. I recently purchased a Maltby TS-UI 2 iron with the Kuro Kage shaft, and I noticed it was a lot lighter than anything else in my bag. Swinging it felt effortless.

It was my first time hitting a forged club, and I finally understood the “buttery” feel people talk about. I also noticed the ball flew a little higher than I would expect from a 2 iron.

My only concern with the Kuro Kage Gen 2 in irons is that it might launch the ball higher than I’d like, and I’ve heard that it plays about a half flex light. Would a regular Kuro Kage play closer to an A flex? Would the MPF Pro Series+ be a better shaft option?

For some background, I currently game Tommy Armour 845+ irons with Recoil 660 shafts in regular flex, and I hit my 9 iron about 120–125 yards. These shafts are good but I would like to play a better shaft with consistent dispersion and better feeling. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

I’m playing Regular KBS Tour 90’s in TS-1s.  I’d like to go a little lighter and easier on my elbow and hands with graphite shafts.  Planning on TS-3s with graphite.  How do Aerotech FC 80 regular and Graphalloy ProLaunch Blue 80 regular compare butt, mid, tip, and launch?  Or is there another I should consider?  Thank you.

Thanks to Stack I’ve gained a lot of speed so I’m going to re-shaft my I230’s from a Nippon GH85 to either Steelfiber 110 or MMT 105.
Given an average weight grip how much will that change the swing weight and in what direction ?

Thanks!
