If my driver launch angle is 17⁰, would I need a low launch shaft and low launch head to lower it. I currently have the Max head with UL stiff shaft. Driver swing speed is 101 with a smooth tempo. I’m thinking I need the Pro head with Rapport White shaft in stiff. I would describe my release as having no forward shaft lean. Thank you.
Loft is the major factor in launch, but the actual loft of the driver and the effective loft at impact. Shafts can play a minor role. The Pro head is definitely a lower launching and spinning driver head and the Rapport Silver in stiff is a lower launching shaft than the UL stiff. So I do think if you want to make that total shift you will see lower launch. You might try setting the Max adaptor for lower launching (if you already haven’t), and try anther shaft to see if that works, before committing to a totally new head and shaft.
