The higher the MPF, the more stable and forgiving the irons will be. So, a toe hit shot on an iron with a higher MPF will travel closer to the intended distance and direction. That’s what MPF is, basically, a measure of forgiveness. You should notice a difference when comparing irons with a 160 point spread, like the ones you described. Probably harder to notice if there is just a 50 point difference, but still, the higher the MPF the more stable the iron will be, and thus more forgiving on off center hits.
