Hi there,

Been gaming the TS3s for 2 years with the TT Score LT 117g stiff shaft. I love these irons, but I’ve always been lacking in spin (4800-5400 with a 7i) and height (sub 45 descent generally, sub 100 feet).

Recently I tried a set of Takomo 101T. It’s in the KBS tour lite stiff (I believe this is 100g). I’m seeing much better flight and spin (5600-6400) and descent can get as good as 50. However the irons kinda feel stiff and nothing feels like a Maltby as they say.

I’m curious though, how much of this is on the iron head design, and how much is on the shaft? Is there even more to it than that? My preference would be to put the Takomo numbers on the TS3s, but I’m not sure if that’s a possibility.

ETA: swing speed is nearly identical despite lighter weight, and launch angle is similar. Lofts are the same. So it’s not any low hanging fruit like “youre flipping more, swinging faster, weaker loft” etc
