I am just curious about the loft structure for the new M980’s. Will it be the same as the M890’s, and will there be a Sand Wedge as part of the set? Love the M890 Sand Wedge and might wait to build a combo set with them, depending on the make-up.
Same lofts and same set make-up as the M890. It is basically the same design with different cosmetics. The MPF on the original was actually 980, but we called it the 890 because the original sample was 890. We had to go with that due to catalog deadline. We tweaked the design and the final MPF playability came out to be 980, which is good, but the M890 version was locked in for the catalogs and web. So now, the new version is the original design and the MPF is 980 Ultra Game Improvement.
